What do pigs, jellyfish and zebrafish have in common? It might be hard to discern the connection, but the different species are all pieces in a puzzle. A puzzle which is itself part of a larger picture of solving the riddles of diseases in humans.

According to a study done by University of British Columbia on jellyfish abundance, researchers found that the global population is on the rise in the world's coastal ecosystems. The increase in jellyfish population is found in 62 percent of the regions including East Asia, the Black Sea, the Mediterranean, the Northeast U.S. Shelf, Hawaii, and Antarctica.
